Most app developers update their apps whenever they need to address issues with bugs, or just want to roll out some new features. Snapchat recently put out a new update on their popular app. This new update features a combination of both your received snaps and stories on the left page. This new hybrid type of design can confuse the user at first. It took me a little while to play with the new software features to really understand it.
