The new colors on the iPhone 7 make it a really cool product. The new blacks look amazing and the antenna lines on the back blend in perfectly so they are virtually invisible. The matte black is the way to go for me, because it gives you the black you want without unnecessary starches or fingerprints. The home button gives you haptic feedback and you can prove this by turning the phone off and experiencing a solid state home button (it doesn’t move). This is amazing because you don’t have to worry about the home button jamming and not working. Another popular feature is sound. The new stereo speakers sound amazing and they are the perfect tool for playing music during class. I can now drop my phone under one meter of water for about 30 minutes and not have any problems. The iPhone 7 is now water proof. The front facing camera has seven megapixels. This means that your Snapchat streak buddies will get a better picture of your amazing face. More storage is offered as the base model (you get 32GB instead of 16GB). This allows you to download a bunch of apps and take a lot of pictures and still have enough storage. The big controversial issue presents itself in the removal of the headphone jack. The 3.5 mm headphone jack was part of apple’s every iPhone. However, in order for a better experience with the new taptic engine and the home button, plus the water-proofing of the iPhone 7, it is essential to remove the headphone jack. Think of it this way, you can have a mechanical home button that would get jammed and a phone that will break down in water and keep your headphone jack, or you can remove the headphone jack and have a phone that can last in 1 meter of water for about 30 minutes, have a non-breakable home button, and a better taptic engine. I personally find the removal of the headphone jack really annoying. If I go to the gym to run, I have to remember to bring the adapter in order to listen to wired audio from my phone. Overall, this phone will give you a feel of an iPhone, and your Instagram/Snapchat stories will have better quality.
