Xbox is a company that has been with us. The first original Xbox came out on November 15, 2001. For someone who owns the original Xbox, I really appreciate the new upgrades associated with the latest version. For those who used it, if you recollect, it was this wired gaming controller that connected to your TV. Since then, Xbox has pushed its way into releasing the Xbox 360, Xbox one, and the Xbox One S. In Fall 2017 Xbox will be introducing its latest and most upgraded version so far. They call this Project Scorpio, a very cool name indeed. Project Scorpio features 6 Teraflops of graphical processing power, has 8 CPU cores, 4K gaming, and will work with your old Xbox One games and accessories. It also features compatibility with virtual reality. This is a new concept that allows one to be truly immersed in the gaming experience. Personally, I am excited, not only for Project Scorpio, but for where Xbox is headed in the future. Folks producing Project Scorpio want it to have no barriers. The cost of the new Xbox as expected will be more than its previous versions, but will nevertheless impress the gamers with the latest fun games.

Microsoft hasn’t released its own pair of virtual reality goggles yet, hence, Oculus Rift is the main choice for virtual reality goggles. I really like the path that Xbox has decided to take. By wearing these goggles, you truly feel as if you are a part of the game. This is Xbox at its best with hardware and software. Imaging playing all of your games in 4K resolution. However, it is being rumored that this could be Microsoft’s last console. You can expect Xbox One games to run on Scorpio, but don’t expect Scorpio games to run on Xbox One. Microsoft is looking for ways to make upgrading from your old Xbox to Project Scorpio be a lot easier. They also claim that Project Scorpio will be faster and more powerful than the PS4 Pro. Overall, this new Xbox is a major performance upgrade over the older Xbox and is designed to serve those who value performance gaming.
